For the longest time, we’ve envisioned creating something truly special for the talented cheerleaders of the Merrimack Valley – a program that provides the same high-level strength, performance, and injury prevention training that athletes in other sports routinely access.
After years of hearing your requests – from dedicated parents, driven athletes, and passionate coaches – for a program specifically designed for cheerleaders, we are incredibly proud to announce the launch of Haus Cheer Camp!
This isn’t just another workout program. We’ve invested months in meticulous research, thoughtful planning, and the development of a curriculum that truly addresses the unique physical demands of cheerleading, going far beyond generic gym routines.
We’ve partnered with some phenomenal cheerleading minds: Mandy Grant, Faith McAuliffe, and Annemarie Sullivan. Each of these coaches brings years of experience and leadership at the highest levels of competitive cheer, ensuring the camp is rooted in real-world expertise and a deep passion for the sport. Furthermore, strength and power training will be expertly guided by our certified Haus strength coaches, guaranteeing that every athlete not only gains strength but does so with proper technique and safety.
Our carefully constructed 8-week curriculum is designed to cover all the essential elements a cheerleader needs to excel:
- Weeks 1–2: Building a Strong Foundation: Focusing on proper technique, enhancing mobility, and establishing injury prevention fundamentals.
- Weeks 3–4: Developing Real Strength: Progressing through key lifts and building essential body control for stunting, basing, and tumbling.
- Weeks 5–6: Unlocking Explosive Power: Incorporating plyometrics, targeted jump training, and skill-specific strength exercises.
- Weeks 7–8: Translating to Peak Performance: Simulating routine demands, refining skills under pressure, and building overall resilience.
The inspiration behind this program comes directly from Maria Wisman, a nationally recognized and highly respected figure in cheerleading strength and conditioning. Every drill, every session, every movement within Haus Cheer Camp has been chosen with a specific purpose: to empower our local athletes to become stronger, move more efficiently, prevent injuries, and ultimately achieve their absolute best on the mat.
We recognize that specialized strength and conditioning programs for cheerleaders are limited in our area. That’s why we’ve created Haus Cheer Camp – a valuable supplement to your current training, designed with significant thought, heart, and hard work. We are genuinely excited to finally share it with you and witness the growth and progress of our Merrimack Valley cheerleaders.
